The Bloom Project has been a great experience for me. It has helped me build confidence, learn new skills, and connect with people who genuinely care about my growth and success. Through the program, I have gained valuable opportunities and support that have positively impacted my future goals. I am grateful for everything I have learned and would recommend the Bloom Project to other young men looking to grow personally and professionally.

Bloom has given me the opportunity to connect with professionals who are involved in the field of journalism, which is my desired career path. It has also taught me how to handle conflict and manage my money. They teach these subjects with fun activities making them easier to remember. Bloom is a great place to meet new people and learn important life lessons.

Bloom Project and mentors have helped me and taught me how to grow and build character, how to prepare myself for the future, and also set life boundaries and goals for myself and my future. Bloom has given me the opportunity to showcase my leadership skills and has taken me to new places and met new people, I feel like I am a part of a brotherhood. Since becoming a part of the Bloom Project I’ve become a better person for myself and an example for others…

As a parent of a Bloom Project King, I have witnessed the transformation of my son from an ambivert to a leader, from someone who didn’t want to participate in events to leading discussions and sitting on panels.

The Bloom Project is a great mentorship program. I have had experiences like going to Pacers games, Colts games and meeting some of the Colts players. I have learned about finances, what to expect in college and went on college tours.

The people in Bloom project are amazing. Ms. Arnetta and Mentors make Kings feel very welcomed and comfortable. Bloom has helped me in countless ways, but one thing I am very grateful for is for them helping me open and building my confidence.

Bloom is something I've grown to love, at first, I thought, this is different, it can be a new way to meet new people and gain new experiences I probably won't have anywhere else. While all these are true statements this is not the reason, I love bloom.

Ever since I joined Bloom, I was welcomed with open arms by great people who cared about my growth and development as a young man. Through various programs and events, Bloom has provided me with a platform to explore my potential…

I like all the discussions, especially anger management, goal setting, money, and how to talk to women the right way. How to groom yourself properly was a discussion from Sean saying that you need to groom yourself properly before you talk to women because they are going to look at your teeth, how you speak to them and look them in the eye!

I went to the art of debate virtual workshop Bloom Project Indy had and I learned a lot of new things. I learned how to deal with the personal battles I have. I also attended the Bloom Evolution workshop where we met past Kings how have graduated high school.

Because of the Bloom Project Inc and the partnership with Indianapolis Colts player Zaire Franklin I was able to attend a financial literacy program, was sponsored by the defensive line for Christmas

Bloom project is another home for me. All the members and mentors seem to just never give up.  Bloom is a place that I genuinely look forward to.  Bloom is somewhere where I can just be me. I’ve gotten so comfortable with the members and mentors that I could come and talk to them about anything, and on multiple occasions I have. 

I joined Bloom Project Inc in 2020 during covid. When joining bloom project, I was tasked with many things like Social Anxiety and feeling like I couldn’t accomplish public speaking. While being inside I needed an outlet to meet new people and learn new things.

Bloom Project for me is an escape away from the community I live in that’s filled with violence and drugs. But being with Bloom I get the tools I need to be that change in my community that it needs. Bloom show me how to stand tall walk with my head high and be successful in all I do right.

I really enjoy bloom project because it is a wonderful way to meet new people, connect with our history, and stay involved. I greatly appreciate Ms. Arnetta and staff for putting their time and energy on all of us young men. I also enjoy all of the trips and outing we have went on as a group, especially the Muhammad Ali trip. Thank you so much.  -Kameron

I started Bloom at 12 yrs. old. I didn’t want to go because my comfort zone were my friends at school only. After the first time at Bloom I invited some friends from school to join. I like Bloom and what I am learning.

I happen to be promoting enrollment for my son’s school after church one Sunday and Arnetta Scruggs was at the table next to me promoting Bloom Inc.  I asked my son to go over get a brochure and info. Nyle was 12yrs old.  The first day I dropped Nyle off for the third Friday meeting of Bloom, Nyle text me the whole time asking to pick him up. 

The impact that Bloom has for me as a parent is Bloom Project are a resource for me on community involvement. Bloom knows what is going on and the programs that are out there that I may not know anything about. As for my King (KeChaun) it’s the mentorship that is being offered and given. He knows he has someone in his corner to talk to about problems or anything else that may come up.

Bloom makes an impact by aligning our programming to the necessities of our community as it relates today’s youth success and progression. As an organization we partner alongside schools and families to assist today’s youth in achieving their professional and scholastic endeavors.

One of the most important life lessons I have learned is to set high goals and have a well thought out plan to achieve it.
